The term “header” refers to any metal at the top of a shower used to stabilize the unit. From traditional headers, to stabilizer bars, to u-channel for steam units, we have a number of options to keep your frameless shower enclosure sturdy and secure.

Standard Header

This is the standard header for frameless units. Notice how it’s designed so that the flat or round profile can be visible on the outside. Examples of header units can be seen below:

Glass-to-Ceiling Stabilizer Bar

VPK33BN_66873This handsome glass-to-ceiling stabilizer bar can be a great option for customers who don’t like the look of the standard header running the full perimeter of the top of their glass. It’s also helpful when hinging off of a glass panel. Normally, you cannot hinge off of a stationary panel that’s wider than 22″, but with this system, you can hinge off of a stationary piece of glass up to 48″ wide. A gallery of some units we’ve done using this system can be seen below:

Some people prefer this system over the glass-to-ceiling version because it’s less obtrusive insofar as it almost hides behind the glass. You can run this to the ceiling as well, but we primarily use it to run to an adjacent tiled wall. A gallery of some units we’ve done using this system can be seen below:
