This glass shower door and panel installation in Berkeley Springs, WV proves that a shower door opening doesn’t have to be huge to be impactful! This small hallway bathroom had a relatively narrow 40″ opening for the shower door. And we couldn’t hinge off the left wall without a swing conflict with other bathroom fixtures, so we fabricated this handsome fully frameless glass-to-glass shower door and panel instead.
Hinging a door off of a stationary panel is very common. You just need a slightly thicker/heavier panel (1/2″ thickness instead of 3/8″) and two wall clamps to keep everything secure. The customer wanted a private shower experience for this bathroom, so they upgraded to acid etch (i.e., frosted) glass. The matte black hardware completes the look on this A+ installation!
