Standard Hardware Finishes

Our standard hardware finishes are fairly consistent between most unit types and models. There are some specific deviations from from this rule (e.g., not all sliding models are available in Oil Rubbed Bronze, certain sliding systems call their polished chrome finish “polished stainless” and their brushed nickel finish “brushed stainless,” etc.), so it’s always safest to get a quote for your specific shower door project to confirm the hardware finish and pricing. In general, however, the vast majority of our shower doors are available in the following standard finishes:

Upgrade Hardware Finishes

Whereas virtually all unit types and models are available in our standard hardware finishes, these upgrade finishes can be hit and miss on product availability. For example, we now offer many sliding units in the popular Brushed Bronze and Satin Brass finishes! But we don’t have reliable suppliers for Polished Brass or Polished Nickel sliding units.

All of our swing door units are available in the following upgrade finishes, but if you’re leaning towards a sliding shower door, it’s best to contact us with your project details so we can shortlist the units available to you. The same is true of other hardware finishes not listed on this page: we often have swing door solutions for niche hardware finishes (e.g., gun metal, polished copper, etc.), but the availability and pricing is handled on a case by case basis. The most common “upgrade” finishes we stock are:

Brushed Bronze (BBRZ) vs. Satin Brass (SB)

Further complicating matters for certain upgrade finishes is the inconsistency from manufacturer to manufacturer on specific names and hues of finishes like brushed bronze and satin brass. Brushed bronze can be called “vibrant brushed bronze” or “champagne bronze” by different manufacturers, for example.

And sometimes certain manufacturers’ brushed bronze finishes pair better tonally with satin brass shower door hardware (or vice versa). When we come out to measure, we can bring hardware samples to ensure you’re getting the best match with your other bathroom fixtures. But these variances between manufacturers (e.g., Delta, Moen, etc.) are worth bearing in mind.
