It’s not even as simple as “swing door systems cost X, and sliding door systems cost Y,” because there are so many subcategories and variables with both options.
With swing doors, the hinge location (hinging off of a wall vs. hinging off of a glass panel) can affect the price to the tune of a couple hundred dollars, for instance. With sliding towards, the differences between traditional bypass shower doors, versus single-sliding barn doors, versus double-sliding barn doors can also mean the difference of a few hundred dollars.
